The colors are just as shown and contrast beautifully with our carpet(deep blue). It's not an "in-your-face" red; the pattern with dark to black areas tones it down. We bought it to cover a high-traffic area and it is doing the job. Recommend a high quality rug pad taped to it to keep it smooth and flat.
