This rug has been in a high traffic room for six months. I have two elementary aged children and a husband who doesn't wipe his feet. It seems to be holding up okay. Looks clean, even though I know it probably isn't. I think it's absolutely gorgeous, beyond my expectations in that department, but it sheds like crazy. Fuzz floated everywhere to the point of hanging off my houseplants. My bagless vacuum filled to capacity with one sweep of my 8 x 10 rug. Drove me crazy and I regretted buying it.
Fast forward several months and the shedding has majorly slowed down. I think it will shed forever, but it's manageable now. I have another wool rug of a different brand. That one sheds too, but initially not nearly as much.
I'm not sure about overall durability. A visiting dog decided he needed to see what was underneath the rug. He pawed at it like he was digging up a bone.Fortunately, he was stopped a minute later, but not before creating numerous snags. This went beyond normal wear and tear, so I can recommend with a caution to those with pets, and to those who can put up with months of shedding.

I bought this carpet because I have previously owned a Karastan and loved it. I liked the photo online and needed to replace a geometric black.white and gray rug. I was a little apprehensive about the colors when I ordered it. But when I received it I realized it is just beautiful. It has really made my living room come alive!! I did think that there was some gray in it from what I saw on my screen but there wasn't but that ended up not a problem. It is GORGEOUS!!

I have had this rug about one month and I love the colors and texture but it has had a big shedding problem even after several vacuumings.

Bought two and use at the front door and patio door that are in the great room. It tied in beautifully with a carpet under the dining room table which is also in the great room. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.
