Comments about Loloi Foster FS-01 Beige Area Rug:

I just had a supremely disappointing experience with buying (and returning) this rug. For the pleasure of having it in my home just long enough to see that it looked nothing like the picture (on multiple retail websites - they all use the same stock photo), I just paid[$] to have UPS send it back. Instead of the beige color that skews toward grey/silver in the picture, the rug is BROWN. It's darker than the photo and couldn't be described as anything but BROWN. The texture is also not the smooth-pile-with-viscose-accents pictured. Candidly, the rug looks rather cheap in person. The pile is raggedy and not smooth at all. I do most of my shopping online across all sorts of products (I even work for an e-commerce retailer), so I'm fully aware that some things look quite different on a monitor than in person. However, the discrepancy between the two in this case was shocking (not to mention the quality issues). I did my homework, shopped around, looked at a TON of rugs and have nothing to show for it (but am out more than $50). Better quality control with the product photo may have prevented this outcome.
