This is a great 8 x 11 rug which fit perfectly in my French country breakfast room. It lays well on my wood floors but I did purchase a good pad. It is cushy, comfortable, and resilent to grandchildren. I love it! I got the long runner for in front of my sink and dishwasher and I am so glad I did.
