The runner is used in the hallway coming from the front door to the breakfast room. With the pad underneath it is soft to walk on. Also doesn't slip. Been very please with my purschases from Rug Studio, and will buy again in the future.

I was absolutely shocked by how poor quality this rug was. I was under the impression this brand was a higher quality, affordable brand. It is not.
First things first, the bottom of this rug had plaster & threaded balls, almost like stones, woven into the underside. Some protruded as much as a quater inch. Left as-is, my hardwood floor would be completely damaged by these stone-like substances. I had to take a razer to the bottom to cut out about 6 of these and super glue the threads back together! Most were plaster stones, with 2 being hard balls of woven thread. I also had to duct tape padding to the bottom to cover the remaining, not-so-sever bumps. I couldn't risk leaving them to dent my hardwood floors.
Second, the quality of the overall rug is sub-par. Had I had the chance to tug on the threads prior to purchasing, I would have skipped it from the start. The thing sheds like cat hair. I purchased the runner version of this rug. I'm betting it'll be in the trash by the end of the year.
I would have simply returned it, but the fact that it's a giant rug and shipping costs were high, I figured live & learn. My loss is your gain. Don't buy this brand.

I already had two large rugs of this design/manufacture but wanted a hall runner. The body of the runner is fine and the soft wool and plush feel are identical to those I had. One end tapered off, however, cutting the tan border nearly to the main design. I will be keeping it as the price vs. hassle to return outweigh the irritation of hte defect.

I am writing this review having only owned the rugs for around a month. They are quite nice. They appear to be of good quality but really only time will tell. So far I love the style & colors & am myself very happy with them. The size's are a little smaller than described but not by much.
