Comments about Samad Plateau Nilgiri Area Rug:
Rug was described as "hand knotted" but the yarns are NOT knotted, thus easily pulled by my cat's claws. To try to discourage this, I turned the rug over with reverse side up (which was attractive, too) for a week, only to find yarns still were being pulled out. Fortunately, the pile is dense. Picture of rug is somewhat misleading in that in actuality this rug is considerably darker. Lots of brick red, maroon and dark mustard gold.Tends to 'bubble' up in spots, won't stay perfectly flat.
