Designed for indoor or outdoor use, Garden Party is a charming combination of styles and fashion-forward colors that bring warmth and sophistication into your space. Plus, Garden Party is made from an average of 50 percent post-consumer content across the product line. The recycled content is derived from bottle flake reclaimed from plastic bottles that would otherwise be sent to landfills; in fact, each Garden Party rug contains the equivalent of 98 plastic bottles. This recycling diverts millions of pounds of these bottles from the waste stream. Polyester is an inertly stain resistant fiber. Polyester also features exceptional color clarity, as the fiber accepts color well, allowing greater saturation of dyes than other topically applied fibers. Moreover, despite its inherent strength and resistance to abrasive wear, polyester is on of the softest fibers used in carpets and rugs. The Garden Party has a three year fade resistant warranty with a guaranteed no edge ravel. The Courtyard pattern includes a weave pattern that has the look of natural sisal with a sold border.

Comments about Shaw Garden Party Courtyard Espresso 00700 Area Rug:

I like the pattern and the feel of the rug, but it simply won't lie flat at all on the ends so we have had to nail it flat to keep people from tripping. Not a good idea! I am very disappointed in this feature of the rug and would have sent it back except I kept trying to flatten the ends with bricks, heavy objects all to no avail. Would not choose this rug in the future.

RugStudio Response: Joanie,

Curling of new rugs is fairly common. Especially for rugs with a very firm framework. We suggest that you 'reverse roll' the ends and hold it firmly for a few moments. On a very stubborn curl, you can reverse roll the entire rug and leave rolled for a day or longer, depending. It is very rare for a rug to hold a curl longer than a month or two. If it does, please let us know.
