I have this rug in front of my kitchen sink so I stand on it a lot. It replaced a wool hooked rug that was a little thicker. This is very thin so if you're looking for something plush, this isn't it. But if you want something durable and bright it's a nice rug. It was shipped rolled up and the corners were curled which we kept tripping over. I rested a heavy cushion over the ends for a few days and it flattened out finally. I don't think it's a kitchen rug though and will probably try to find another one with cushion to it for the sink, but I will try to find a place for it in the house since it's a nice rug.
