Bob Mackie's stunning costume designs have earned him a total of 9 Emmy Awards, 31 Emmy Award nominations, and three Oscar nods. His innovative work in the entertainment world has been legendary. His awe-inspiring costumes have been worn by hundreds of celebrities including Carol Burnett, Cher, PINK, Barbara Streisand, Bette Midler, Diana Ross, Madonna, Beyonce, and Jennifer Lopez. His crowning achievement is his 2002 induction into the Television Academy Hall of Fame, where he is the only member of the Academy who is a costume designer.
In 1998, the Mackie brand moved in a new direction when he entered the world of home furnishings. This foray into the home was a natural move for Mackie as it gave the consumer Mackie's sense of style, luxury, and elegance, in their own home. The debut of Bob Mackie Home Furniture with American Drew was a resounding success and paved the way for a natural progression into designing area rugs. In November 2013, Bob Mackie Design Group partnered with KAS to create trend-setting area rugs shown below.
