From James Tufenkian:
An ivory and blue Armenian Kazak weave wool runner. This Gendje Runner was handcrafted in Armenia of 100% wool using our Kazak weave which has a pile height of about a third of an inch. Historically Gendje rugs were woven in the town of Gendje and were most often produced as runners with designs resembling Kazaks, except for a more prominent use of light blue and ivory and the frequent use of small, repeating design elements. This runner is an interpretation of the Caucasian rugs and features five center palmettes in dark red and light yellow with tribal detailing of olive green, dark blue, and yellow, over an off white ivory field. The border is a cobalt blue with a floral pattern in ivory, light blue, red, green and light yellow. This item has been discontinued and only the size(s) listed here are available.
